Elders Scrolls V Skyrim Review

Purchase  a house in Skyrim, wear some Skyrim armour, or rule the world with an iron fist. All I can say is about time for Skyrim , We have been waiting for the Elder Scrolls game to arrive.  Some gamers    weren't even sure the game would even come out on this generation of consoles. If you played and like Oblivion you will Skyrim the same or even a little more. The games are similar is play style but Skyrim tuned some of the things past games lacked. Lets get down to it and talk about the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good

The Graphics are clean the frame rate is nice. The interface and menus are easy to use. Dragons and weapons come fairly early in the game. Ever battle feels epics and real.

You will be able to purchse a home is most of the larger cities. Want to steal to make money, be a dragon slayer or take on everyone that come across your path. You can do all that and more. There is not right or wrong way to play. Don't let someone you may know tell you how to play or build your warrior.

Another great thing about this game is you can play at your own pace. You don't rush to play the story line or get things done on a timeline. If you want to do side quest for hours upon hours you can. Skyrim has unlimited side quest that are random and evolving as your character climbs the rank chain.

The traps that are set in Skyrim are great. They are well places and thought out.

Skyrim is a sold game but there are some things that tend to bother me.

The Bad

There are some glitch issues, I have come across so floating daggers and mammoths. When see a mammoths in the sky you know something is wrong. Also sometime dragons fly backwards in a circle. A little funny at times but nothing less a little glitchy.

The last thing is the dual cast system. If you are a little late pulling both the triggers you wont dual cast. The dual cast is very important when you have stagger unlocked and fighting higher level enemies. If you do not stagger them to slow them down one hit could be fatal.

The Ugly

I know there is suppose to be an ugly, but Bethesda has done such a great job with this chapter that I can not think of anything that comes to mind.

I give this game a 9/10 since the glitches are a little crazy at times. I am sure that Bethesda will send out a patch in the coming months.

If you are in the market for a new game Skyrim is for sure a must get.

Look for Skyrim DLC in next weeks blog.

Amazon Kindle Fire Review

Looking to pick up the Kindle Fire for someone or maybe you want to treat yourself to something fun. You probably asking yourself is the Kindle Fire from Amazon better then the Ipad 2 or the Nook Tablet. The price is lower but does it do what I want it to ? I will be answering that question below and updating as new information come available.

 PROS

Price

1) $199 is a great price, Amazon actually loses $50 for every Kindle sold. They plan on making it up with the Kindle Store.

Vibrant, Well Designed Screen

2) The Kindle Fire come with a 7" Muti-touch screen This screen is an IPS LCD, which means users will be looking at near 170-degree+ viewing angles, and a total of sixteen million colors. The screen on the Kindle Fire will not disappoint users in the realms of brightness or color saturation.

Kindle shoppers will be glade to know that the glass is made from and protect with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. That means if you were to drop in on a hard service like concrete that it will not shatter. A seven inch screen might seem small to some but the size is still ample enough to give the reader a great experience.

Integrated Amazon Store

Amazon has an extremely large library of movies, television shows, songs, magazines, and (of course) books. Amazon store is so deep with content that you will never get bored of the selections they have on hand.

Cons

1) No 3g or 4g coverage

Most of us want a wireless data connection, some ever expect it. If you can't with with a device without it you should pass on the Kindle Fire.

2) No camera

Most tablets have a built in camera. Some even have a front facing one for video chat.

3) No Android Market

No Access to the Google android market. Probably not a that big of an issues since Amazon marketplace has some much content.

Conclusion : The Pros out weigh the Cons, If you are in the market for a tablet the Kindle Fire has to be on your list. The price, ease of use and the backing of the Amazon market make this a winner.
